ROUTE PLANNER
A route planner supports daily transportation operations including planning, scheduling all routing duties for the drivers, driver check in and the monitoring, compliance and performance indicators for driver hours of service.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
· Responsible for the direction and coordination of assigned team of route drivers to ensure maximum performance relative to product delivery, cost efficient equipment utilization, service, safety and good customer relations.
· Support daily transportation operations and notify clients of pertinent information.
· Use systems to locate drivers and track data for reporting purposes.
· Contact drivers about load assignments and schedule changes.
· Resolves complex route issues and trains team as required.
· Reacts timely and effectively to breakdowns and accidents.
Required Skills and Experience:
· 2+ years of route planner experience in London and surrounding area
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient computer skills
· Knowledge of transportation technology systems
· Detail oriented
· Logistics education
· Food service distribution experience
· Turkish speaking
Work schedule:
- Monday - Saturday: 5am - 2 pm
- 28 days holiday inclusive on Bank holidays
