Support Worker/Night Support Worker

£11.05 per hour, plus £1 extra per hour weekend enhancement

Are you compassionate, caring and hard working? We are currently seeking dedicated Support Workers and Night Support workers to join our team at Batty Lane supporting 3 amazing individuals.

Batty Lane is a supported living service with 3 female individuals currently living here who enjoy varied activities who enjoy getting out and about in their own vehicles, they love to be part of their community and enjoy being out. Some of their favourite activities to do include going to the cinema or theatre, visiting the seaside, and seeing local attractions. One individual also loves to go swimming so we do have an aspect of 2:1 care to enable this.

Manual handling and the use of hoists and wheelchairs are very important throughout the service but we will provide you will full training.

Our work environments are small and friendly, and our staff teams provide each other with all the support they need. You will get the opportunity to support amazing people to live active and independent lives. You will find yourself involved in the exciting hobbies and activities that the individuals we support love doing. You will work hard, and leave knowing that you have made a positive difference to someone’s life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with meal preparation and medication management
  • Support individuals with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and community activities
  • Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental health to appropriate staff members
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided
  • Provide personal care to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and toileting

Requirements:

  • A compassionate and caring nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A willingness to undergo relevant training and development
