Kitchen Assistant - we require a kitchen assistant to work alongside our kitchen team of head chef and assistant. We are looking for someone to work over the weekend period from Friday - Monday.
Duties:
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies and ingredients
- Help with dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Assist in setting up and organizing catering events
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required - we would consider having a keen apprentice
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
