£11.05 - £12.95 per hour (role dependent) - Various Hours Available

The Dexters is currently recruiting for Support Workers to join their team - whether you want full time, part time, flexible work, or night work - this could be the job for you! Our work environments are small and friendly, our staff teams support each other well. We will provide you with excellent training and the opportunity to progress within the organisation. We have 4 individuals living at The Dexters at the moment, all with profound and multiple learning disabilities. They have regular activities that you will help support them to attend such as, swimming, going to day services and sensory rooms. Our individuals are all non-verbal and require 1:1 support, but your day will be full of fun and activities , this is not your average job, no 2 days are ever the same and you will always go home with the feeling that you have made a difference.

Due to the individual needs of the service, a valid full UK driving license is desirable for this role.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with meal preparation and medication management.
  • Support individuals to their activities.
  • Support individuals with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry.
  • Accompany individuals to appointments and community activities.
  • Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental health to appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
  • Provide personal care to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.

Requirements:

  • A compassionate and caring nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
  • A full UK license.
