Are you passionate about tea and hospitality? We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic individual to join our team. If you have a strong background in hospitality and food, this may be the perfect opportunity for you! This position would involve assisting in the preparation, presentation and maintenance of our afternoon tea range.
We are currently an independent tea room based in Kensington, but we are looking to expand very soon and open another location in London. We specialise in afternoon tea and are home to a wide array of loose leaf tea blends. We started with an aim to give a little more character to the world of afternoon tea in London. If you feel like this may suit you, below you'll find the duties of the job:
Responsibilities:
- Morning shifts from 8am - 3pm to assist with the pre-preparation of our afternoon tea range.
- Day time shifts from 12pm - 7pm to assist with the preparation, decoration and garnishing of afternoon tea orders.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring the kitchen is well stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in opening and closing regimes before and after service.
- Replenishing tea supplies to ensure smooth service flow.
- Follow hygiene and safety protocols maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and other staff to provide a seamless experience for our customers.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably a cafe, tea room or restaurant setting.
- Basic understanding of food preparation techniques.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Food safety and hygiene certifications is a bonus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Please note that previous experience as a kitchen assistant is preferred but not required. We are willing to train candidates who demonstrate the necessary skills and a positive attitude.
