Times Square is seeking a friendly, motivated, and dependable individual to join our team as a Cafe Assistant. Must be available to work both weekdays & weekends but can be flexible on which days these are.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare coffee, tea, and other hot beverages for guests
- Greet customers and answer questions about our products and services
- Prepare food for service (e.g. frying chicken, making quesadillas)
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly, attentive manner
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Keep a clean dining area by the bar and table service items (e.g. plates, cutlery)
- Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and work safety regulations
- Maintain high quality service by delivering excellent products and services
- Actively seek out customers in the community and introduce them to our services
- Maintain an inventory of all customer service items (e.g. pens, paper, straws)
- Assist customers with their orders or make recommendations for new products
- Keep the Devizes clean (e.g. sweeping, mopping, scrubbing)
- Assist customers with their transactions (e.g. cashiering, ordering)
- Attend community events
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or other related fields
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts (overnight, weekends, evenings)
